Poetry in America featured in Forbes
On March 26th, 2018, Michael Alpiner wrote in Forbes’s Travel column about how Poetry in America connects the experience of reading poetry to experiential travel. While Alpiner was impressed by President Biden’s line (“It’s funny how a poem can creep into your soul”), he argued that the motion of “Those Winter Sundays” was more outward, bringing his own soul to “Detroit, the comeback kid of U.S. travel destinations” and the city’s “revitalized culinary, theater, sports and shopping experiences.”
